On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, Burke honored Mr. Tom Darmstadter, outgoing president and founding member of East Texas Behavioral Resources, with a plaque in our Angelina Mental Health facility at 1522 West Frank Street in Lufkin, Texas. Mr. Darmstadter has played a pivotal role in the acquisition, enhancement and general maintenance of over a quarter million square feet of properties.
“I can say with great certainty, that Tom has accomplished so much to advance Burke’s mission by providing first class environments of care for our clients and staff,” said Jake Squiers, Chief Operating Officer of Burke.
Some of the projects Mr. Darmstadter has overseen are new clinics in both Jasper and Polk counties, several new residential facilities, a new day habilitation facility in Nacogdoches, and numerous building renovations. The completion of the newly constructed Frank Street clinic was his crowning achievement for Burke.
Beyond Burke, Mr. Darmstadter is involved in many other community endeavors. He serves as a trustee on the TLL Temple Foundation and has been instrumental in building projects with the local Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council.
