Burke is committed to providing quality behavioral health care services to the residents of East Texas. Our organization adheres to strict internal and external plans and processes to ensure our employees are providing proper care to our clients. To learn more, please see Burke’s documents below.

Consumers, families, representatives, advocates, consumers or concerned citizens who have a complaint regarding abuse, neglect or exploitation of an individual receiving services are urged to report it to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services’ toll-free hotline (1-800-647-7418). The identity of the complainant is kept completely confidential.

If you would like to report concerns regarding Burke’s compliance with state and federal laws, please call the Burke Compliance Officer at 936-639-1141 or use our online compliance form.

Burke is accredited by the Joint Commission. Joint Commission standards address organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. If you have any concerns about the care provided or safety at Burke, you are encouraged to discuss this with the program manager.

You may also discuss your concerns with Donna Moore, the Burke Rights Protection Officer. If your concerns cannot be resolved at these levels, you are encouraged to contact the Joint Commission. Please note that the Joint Commission will only take complaints in writing.
